Transportation is one of the most pressing needs for seniors to maintain independence. SOFI on the Go provides door-to-door and wheelchair-accessible transportation services within the Town of Perinton for residents aged 60 and older, for medical appointments and essential errands. Essential errands include trips to the grocery store, post office, pharmacy, barbershop, hairdressers, bank, etc. The SOFI on the Go bus is driven by Fairport Perinton Senior Connections staff. 

Transportation runs Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. 

All reservations must be made by 2:00 PM the day before ride is needed.

As of May 8th SOFI on the Go bus rates new cost structure will be in effect.

    • • Round trip will cost $15 ($1 discount)

• • The policy of donations accepted is no longer available

• • Volunteer driven trips will now cost $20 (per person)
  • Volunteer rides are on a first come first serve basis and we can not guarantee a volunteer for every trip requested but we will do our best. 
  • LifeSpan trained drivers are trained in the topics of safe-assisting, visual-impairment, hearing-loss, setting good boundries and signs of elder abuse. All volunteer drivers wear name badges and are covered by LifeSpan insurance.
